Professional Analysis Inc. (PAI) is seeking qualified applicants for a Material Handling Laborer to support The Property Management Division (Code 107) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) located in Philadelphia, PA.

Position Overview

The Material Handling Laborer provides hands-on labor support for warehouse and material management operations supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). This position supports the lifecycle management of Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) and Plant Property & Equipment (PP&E) by assisting with receiving, storage, movement, packing, shipping, inventory execution, and disposal activities in accordance with Navy, DoD, NAVSEA, and FAR/DFARS requirements.

This role is essential to maintaining material accountability, warehouse efficiency, and audit readiness across contractor-managed warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling & Warehouse Support

• Load, unload, move, stage, and transport materials, equipment, and supplies within warehouse facilities and between designated locations

• Assist with receiving, segregation, storage, packing, crating, and shipment preparation of OM&S and General Equipment

• Support local pickup and delivery of incoming and outgoing shipments between warehouse facilities and end users

• Assist Warehouse Specialists and Supply personnel with daily warehouse operations

Inventory & Accountability Support

• Assist with execution of physical inventories in accordance with the Command Inventory Plan

• Help identify, segregate, and stage excess, obsolete, or unserviceable material for disposition

• Support material tracking and accountability efforts to maintain accurate inventory records

Packing, Crating & Shipping

• Assist with packing, crating, labeling, and preparation of materials for shipment

• Support preparation of shipping documentation, including packing lists and transfer paperwork

• Assist with movement of material during warehouse transition periods, including startup, relocation, or close-out activities

Facility & Disposal Support

• Dispose of dunnage, packaging, and crating materials generated during receipt and delivery activities

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse and staging areas

• Follow all safety procedures when handling materials and equipment

Required Qualifications

• Eligibility to obtain or maintain a Secret clearance

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1–2 years of material handling, warehouse labor, or logistics support experience

• Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team

• Basic familiarity with warehouse safety practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting DoD, Navy, or federal warehouse or logistics operations

• Experience assisting with physical inventories and material staging

• Forklift or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience (training may be provided)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods

• Work performed in an active warehouse environment, Monday–Friday during normal operating hours (0730–1600)

• Occasional travel between warehouse and Government facilities as required
